Festival news!

ACID TEST has been selected to play at the Literally Short Film Festival here in Houston as part of their Local & Fresh selection of Texas shorts. We are honored and excited to launch our festival season by premiering at a festival where we can celebrate with our family, friends, contributors, and community at large. The Festival Director and fellow filmmaker friend Lorís Simón Salum is a supporter of ACID TEST and I’m so pleased to be included in a festival that celebrates its Mexican roots since the mother character in ACID TEST is Mexican-American.

The Literally Short Film Festival runs June 14 – 18 and the Local & Fresh screening will be at 4:00pm on Sunday, June 18th. So this Father’s Day, come celebrate with a crazy story about teenagers, dads, and families! You will also get to see a short I produced two years ago, NEXT EXIT, from my good friend writer/director Alberto Govela. ACID TEST was born during our trip to the Cannes Film Festival when NEXT EXIT was at the Cannes Short Film Corner so it’ll be a wonderful reunion to screen together!

Buy your tickets here! http://literallyshort.com/tickets/. You can buy tickets for just the one screening or for the whole festival.

I hope to see you all there!

For our cast, crew, SWAMP donors, and $50+ Seed&Spark contributors, we will be hosting an invitation-only screening soon. You will receive a direct email with the invitation. Keep an eye out!

For all our cast, crew, and contributors, you will also receive an email with the link and password to the finished film that you will be able to download to include in your reels.

From here on out, we have applied to several festivals for late summer and fall so keep your fingers crossed that Literally Short Film Festival is only the beginning!
